Looking For Meaning in a World of Chaos

Today, in the Moment

image of a penny with 'In God We Trust' There are times in each of our lives when we suddenly have a need to search for something greater than ourselves--greater than our daily rituals, our daily work, our daily play, our daily thoughts. When was the last time you felt this need, this compulsion, this drive to look deeper into that which you suddenly see as
important but distant?

As I've grown older, I've stopped looking. Perhaps it's because I've been so busy developing new skill-sets, expanding an old business I started in the mid 1990's, or perhaps because I'd simply lost that "spark" for the Unknown. Whatever the reason, that came to an end this morning when I visited Vimeo and watched a video called Today.

Perhaps part of the cause of this sudden awakening is the delivery system, the platform on which the producer created this 8 minute, 26 second video. Perhaps it's the flashing of photos at the rate of one per second. Perhaps it was the producer, the photographer, talking about the impetus he experienced while creating his photo website. Perhaps it was all of the above, but no matter what it was, it now is.

No matter, I now pass the baton to you to decide...
