soothing balm to a weary soul.
|content. To me, it's part of who I am, who I've been for a long time. I mostly listen to classical through Internet Radio (I'll post a list of links at the end), but I've purchased my fair share of cassette tapes and CD's (anyone remember what a "cassette" is?).
When I was a child, I saw advertisements on television concerning a series of 33-1/3 rpm records that featured the world's renown classical's. Oh how much I wanted that record collection, but it came at a price, and it was more than my allowance would allow me. By the time I reached Junior High, I had pretty much given up hope of ever getting that record collection.
The other thing I did was to purchase box after box of audio cassette tapes at the "Barn Sale," which was a weekend thing that took place each week in a barn--hence the "Barn Sale."
I've been told by several people in the know that I'm a very old soul and that this will be my last visit to this place. Well, to sooth my weary mind, I'll continue to listen to Classical music.
